He actually succeeded in creating peace in the middle east. Within 24 hours of becoming the Doctor.
I hope you get a chance to read his run in the Authority—though the quality of the comic as a whole took a hit post Habib (which had nothing to do with his arrival, by the way), Habib as a character is incredibly interesting.
